/Introducing the Master of Applied Christian Counseling — MACC
For many years, Christian Life School of Theology Global (CLST Global) has served the ICAL family as a trusted provider of Christian higher education and leadership development.
Most recently, a growing number of ICAL leaders have participated in CLST Global’s innovative Master of Executive Leadership (M.EL.), a competency-based graduate degree built around practical leadership development and real-world application.
Now we are excited to announce that CLST Global is bringing that same practical educational philosophy to another critical area of ministry.
Beginning January 2027, CLST Global will launch its all-new 60-credit-hour Master of Applied Christian Counseling, a live, online, competency-based graduate program designed to equip Christian leaders with practical counseling knowledge and skills they can immediately apply in ministry, leadership, and service to others.

The MACC brings together biblical truth, evidence-based counseling principles, Choice Theory® and Reality Therapy®, Clinical Pastoral Education, and practical counseling experience within a distinctly Christian educational framework.
Students will learn from Certified Glasser faculty while developing competencies to counsel individuals, strengthen marriages and families, navigate conflict, help people make healthier choices, mentor others, and build stronger counseling ministries.

The program is designed around six major areas of development:
Biblical Counseling Foundations — developing a sound theological framework for Christian counseling and learning to apply Scripture wisely and compassionately to real-life situations.
Choice Theory® & Reality Therapy® — mastering practical counseling techniques that empower people to make healthier choices, strengthen relationships, and take responsibility for lasting change.
Counseling Skills & Intervention — developing communication, assessment, active listening, conflict-resolution, and intervention strategies across a range of counseling situations.
Marriage & Family Counseling — helping couples and families improve communication, restore relationships, and navigate difficult seasons.
Leadership Through Counseling — preparing leaders to counsel, mentor, facilitate groups, and strengthen the people entrusted to their care.
Personal Transformation — because effective counselors first experience transformation themselves—growing spiritually, emotionally, and professionally as they learn to help others.
The 60-credit curriculum includes Foundations of Biblical Choice Theory, Foundations of Reality Therapy Practice, Clinical Pastoral Education I and II, Advanced Integration of Choice Theory and Scripture, and Certification and Graduation.
