Apostolic Days require Apostolic Ways by John P. Kelly

I sense and see God placing a new demand on his leaders to walk and live a pure life; a trustworthy life of integrity. The Apostle Paul reminded Timothy, "Hold on to the pattern of right teaching you learned from me... remember to live in the faith and love that you have in Christ Jesus. With the help of the Holy Spirit who lives within us, Carefully Guard what has been entrusted to you. (2 Tim.1:13-14).

This is an apostolic challenge, a directive that Paul knew all leaders needed reminding of during that day, as now, are days are full of evil.

In 2 Timothy 3, Paul describes the coming of apostasy. "For people will love only themselves and their money...boastful, proud, scoffing at God, no self-control, their minds are depraved and their faith is counterfeit..." Then says, "But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught..."

This is my encouragement to you who lead churches, ministries, businesses, work in government or any area of society. People are watching us. They need role models they can trust to not let them down by falling into an apostate lifestyle. It slowly creeps in - if we are not careful.

Apostolic Days demand Apostolic Ways - God's way. Let's agree to follow His ways for every aspect of our life and be a shining example for our family and everyone in our sphere of influence - and beyond!

Building together with Him and you,

John P. Kelly, ICAL International Convening Apostle
