On Tuesday May 8, 2018, members of the National Council of CCAL, [led by Convenor Phil Nordin}, were privileged to attend the National Prayer Breakfast at the Shaw Centre in Ottawa, Ontario. The breakfast was attended by many dignitaries including the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition.
The message that was presented to the 800+ guests at the breakfast was nothing short of brilliant. We will be forwarding this exceptional message to our membership as soon as it is available. This message of freedom deserves to be played to EVERY church in Canada.
Following the breakfast some of our members were privileged to meet privately with Honorable Andrew Scheer and present papers on issues of concern to Canadians including:
Education: Dave Kalamen
Parental Rights: Mel Mullen
Freedom of Speech: Len Zoeteman
A Positive Environment for Business: Mike Bolton
Office of Religious Freedom: Barry Boucher
We are pleased to report that the Minister received us warmly and listened to our concerns and addressed them very favourably. We sensed both his concern and his desire to address these issues as he is able - (within the boundaries of his office).
The meeting concluded with powerful prayer for the minister led by Gary Carter.
